Early start for this one this morning, although it is a monday morning so extremly quiet at Storey Arms car park. Mist was down so no views today unfortunetly. Upon approach of the summit of Corn Du there is still quite a lot of snow left from the weekend. Which is always a bonus. A quick walk to Pen-y-Fan summit, as I usually avoid this because of the crowds, but not a single person here today. Quick selfie with Asher and Marley and retrace my steps back to pick up the path which leads to Tommy Jones obelisk.
Take care on desending to Llyn Cwm Llwch as it is steep and a little slippery under foot. Was so quiet here this morning. Disapointing not being able to see the summits of Corn du and Pen-y-fan and the amazing escarpments, mist was still low. Following the foot path down towards llwynbedw, then the walk is carried onto the lanes for approx 2 miles, so beware there could be traffic. I only saw two cars, its a quiet road and it is part of the Taff Trail.
Its then footpath straight up to Storey Arms car park. Amazing views here of the valley thats sits betwwen the A470 and the Taff Trail. You will pass Coed Carno thats another great walk which has information boards at the entrance.
